Editor's Notes

The Half Lemon and Lemon Blossom Drop Earrings from Les Néréides carry the hand-painted enamel and the eye for the natural world that have defined the Parisian maison since 1980.

This vivid pair catches the lemon tree at both stages, blossom and fruit on the same branch, rendered in enamel and gilded brass. A crystal-centred flower sits at the lobe, a second opening below it with freshwater pearls and leaves at either side, and the lemon hangs at the end of the drop, one half painted in yellow, the other in gold and set with pavé crystals. Wear them alone or bring the rest of the grove with them, from the Lemon and Lemon Blossom Fine Bracelet to the Lemon and Lemon Blossom Pendant Necklace.

About Les Néréides
Les Néréides takes its name from the sea nymphs of Greek mythology, fifty sisters and no two alike. Founders Pascale and Enzo Amaddeo met as fine art students in Belgium in the seventies, both captivated by nature in all its beauty and bustle. In 1980 they opened their first boutique in Nice, and the natural world has been their muse ever since. Every collection is an ode to flowers, creatures and the sea, designed in the Paris studio and hand-enamelled petal by petal, wing by wing, using techniques inherited from haute joaillerie. Each piece is made to hold something: a memory, a season, a feeling you cannot quite name.
