The Cherries and Leaves Adjustable Ring from Les Néréides carries the hand-painted enamel and the eye for the natural world that have defined the Parisian maison since 1980.
This delectable piece encapsulates the last of the summer fruit, kept in enamel and gilded brass. The cherries and their leaves sit along an adjustable band, each one painted individually so the red and green sit slightly different from ring to ring, lifted by the luminous sheen of the gold. About Les Néréides
Les Néréides takes its name from the sea nymphs of Greek mythology, fifty sisters and no two alike. Founders Pascale and Enzo Amaddeo met as fine art students in Belgium in the seventies, both captivated by nature in all its beauty and bustle. In 1980 they opened their first boutique in Nice, and the natural world has been their muse ever since. Every collection is an ode to flowers, creatures and the sea, designed in the Paris studio and hand-enamelled petal by petal, wing by wing, using techniques inherited from haute joaillerie. Each piece is made to hold something: a memory, a season, a feeling you cannot quite name.
